I grew up along the Lake Michigan shoreline. In the summer, I love to be outside planting flowers and container gardens or enjoying refreshments on the patio. I take on many projects such as furniture restoration, or cabinet refinishing in the winter and I love to curl up with a good book, or work on svg files (linked below) anytime of the year. My immediate family Larry (husband), Kyle (son) and Brielle (daughter), surround and encourage me to excel at whatever I set my mind to.
As a graphic designer, I have experience in brand development, social media, web promotions, e-mail marketing and endless print projects from flyers to 1,000 page catalogs. My background in print, visual design and file management is the basis for my mindful approach to all design projects. I am fueled by my passion to understand each client and to teach new designers tricks of the trade while appreciating the fact that I can also learn from others. I consider myself a working student, eager to build on what I’ve learned and to stay in tune with the latest digital marketing strategies through continued coursework.
My desire for file management and process improvement drives me to continuously find ways to improve everyday work tasks. From complete file folder restructuring to simple action sets in the programs I use. This vastly improves not only my job performance and efficiency, but also that of my teams.
I believe that when my personal life and workplace has positive energy, everyone thrives and inter-department collaboration is easier to accomplish. This provides a backdrop to every aspect of my life. I am currently working as a graphic designer and content creator both for my employer and as a freelancer and working on a certificate program through Coursera and Google for Digital Marketing and E-commerce - January 2023.
In my spare time my hobby is to create Hand-lettered, illustrated and / or typeset SVG cut files for the crafting community. You can find this work at FunWithSVGs.com.
